This historic Palace property was the former palace residence of
the Maharajas. Set amidst sprawling
acres of majestic gardens, it overlooks the city's main lake 'The
Dal Lake' and is ringed by the Himalayan mountain ranges. The 125
room twin storey hotel, located 15 kms from the airport, is
adjacent to the Governor's house and just minutes from the city's
other historic attractions like Shankaracharya Temple, Nishat &

Originally built in 1910 AD, for the then Maharajas, this heritage
